The Espy House, which was George Washington's headquarters in 1794 during the Whiskey Rebellion, is located in charming Bedford, Pennsylvania which is where our cycling adventure begins. Patriotic and historic this tour via charming rural residential areas nestled between delightful farmlands is truly a treasure for any cycling enthusiast. Rolling terrain with one difficult climb midway through the ride and a long descent has a few sharp curves. As a point of mention, a side trip to one of the many quaint specialty shops or Old Bedford Village is a must to obtain the true flavor of this region. So come ye all and turn back to Colonial Days with this tour and by the way George Washington really did sleep in Bedford, Pennsylvania.
