This area offers trails that vary greatly in technical difficulty. Terrain is mainly hilly except for Tussey Mountain Trail, John Wert Path, and parts of the Shingletown area. Trails are a good mix of single track and double track. Trails not to ride up hill include: Wildcat Gap Trail, Spruce Gap Trail, Old Laurel Run Road Trail, advanced part of Bald Knob Ridge Trail. From US Route 322 – Turn off of US Route 322 toward Tussey Mountain Ski Resort (about 5 miles east of State College). Follow road about a quarter mile past the ski resort to a Bureau of Forestry parking area on your left (just before a bridge over a stream).
