Balanced Rock and Copperas Rocks Hike

Traveling along the scenice Ledges Trail, this moderate route takes hikers through a region of endless vistas, rich history and geolocial wonders. It opens with views across the Great Trough Creek gorge from several lookouts. As it continues, it passes through the historic remains of the Paradise Furnace schoolhouse and Paradise Furnace, which was constructed in 1827 and produced more than 12 tons of cast iron a day. The trek also gives hikers a chance to experience Balanced Rock and Copperas Rocks.
