Covering a wide variety of trail surfaces over the course of its route, this trek includes everything from wide, smooth pathways, to some of the region’s rockiest terrain. For much of its length, this trail winds high along a scenic ridge with little change in elevation. Along the way, hikers can enjoy 180º views across The Alleghenies landscape from Wolf Rocks and take a short spur to the 28-acre Spruce Flats Bog where cranberry, pitcher plant, sundew, cotton grass and other vegetation typical of regions much further to the north thrive.
