Allegheny Front Trail (West Loop)

The Western sister of the Allegheny Front Trail East Loop, this trek takes backpackers through an aggressive two-day or leisurely three-day trip around the entire Black Moshannon Forest. The route features rushing creeks and streams teeming with trout, rocky sections that climb to scenic ridge-top vistas, mature hadwood forests, pine plantations, rhododendron thickets, hemlock groves and the bogs of MossHanne.
