Allegheny Front Trail (East Loop)

This aggressive two-day or leisurely three-day backpacking trip circumnavigates the entire Black Moshannon Forest. Along the route, hikers trek beside rushing creeks and streams teeming with trout, climb rocky sections to enjoy scenic ridge-top vistas, and pass through mature hadwood forests, pine plantations, rhododendron thickets, hemlock groves and the bogs of MossHanne.
