1000 Steps Easy
This out and back pathway follows portions of the 72-mile Link Trail as it winds to the historic Thousand Steps Area of The Alleghenies. Along the way, it passes through some of the region's most unique wildlife areas where a variety of reptiles and lizards thrive. The trail leads to the bottom of the Thousand Steps - a stone staircase built by quarry workers in the 1930's who used the pathway to climb nearly 1,000 feet to the top of Jacks Mountain to start their workday.
