Fort Roberdeau Revolutionary Tour
Travel back to 1778 and revolutionary days when Fort Roberdeau was used as protection for the settlers from Indian attack. Among other claims to fame, Fort Roberdeau also protected miners whose job was to mine lead for the Continental Army for their musket balls. Beginning in Tyrone, Pennsylvania, this classic tour ventures through impeccable Mennonite farm land, and affords an abundance of site seeing opportunities such as a trip through reconstructed Fort Roberdeau, scenic parks and caverns, enchanting Arch Springs and mysterious Tytoona Cave. Flat to rolling terrain with a one-mile climb make this a revolutionary route.
